JOY. JOY. JOY. Honestly the only word that comes to mind when I think about Rachel & Zach’s wedding day. Incredible amounts of JOY! Their family, their friends, their guests – i’m speechless! I had the time of my life photographing their wedding day. The day started at Rachel’s parents house where the girls were getting all dolled up for the big day. Winston, the bride’s family dog was there with his “Dog of Honor” collar on, and he was extra happy cause it was actually his 10th birthday too! Big day for him! 🙂 Rachel’s bridesmaids were truly one of a kind. SO gentle, kind, caring, and truly just so so happy for Rachel and Zach.
We went to a local park for some photos and had the most perfect overcast sky (hallelujah)! Then onto the church for the ceremony. Before the ceremony, Rachel and Zach chose to symbolize servanthood in their marriage by washing one another’s feet. With family and friends surrounding them, they got lifted up in prayer as they were just about to head into their ceremony. Pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
Married! Off to the reception we go! They had their reception at The Lumber Exchange downtown Minneapolis and let me tell you – it was perfection! Simple yet elegant, it just seemed like Rachel & Zach the second you walked in the room. We popped up on the parking ramp for some awesome city backdrop photos, and then headed in to party it up with the guests. The dance started with Zach and his groomsmen doing a choreographed dance for Rachel – it was awesome! What more can I say?! SUCH a perfect day.
Take a look for yourself, but Rachel and Zach couldn’t stop smiling all day, and neither could their bridal party or guests!
To the bride and groom, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to capture your joy-filled, Jesus-honoring wedding day. It was truly a privilege.
